Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has pledged $650 million to Ukraine over 3 years.

Trudeau made this announcement during the visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to Canada.

Trudeau said the money would be used to fund 50 armored vehicles.

Trudeau added that Canada will also send F-15 fighter pilots and maintenance trainers to the Eastern European country.

Part of the funding will also go towards mental health support for people in Ukraine.

It is worth noting that the President of Ukraine Zelenskyy while addressing the Parliament of Canada has also thanked Canada for supporting Ukraine in this difficult time.

This is Zelensky's first official visit to Canada after Russia's attack on Ukraine in February 2022.

His wife Olena Zelenska is also present during this visit.
