Calgary teacher charged with voyeurism after 'sexual act' at school

Nathanial Arthur Gordon, who is 41, has been charged with one count of voyeurism and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 28.

A Calgary teacher has been charged after a sexually motivated offence at a school in late May.

Police say administrators from Chinook Winds Adventist Academy reported that a teacher had engaged in an inappropriate sexual act while allegedly watching students through a window.

Detectives conducted an investigation, which included speaking to several witnesses and analyzing evidence.

Police say they arrested a man on Tuesday.

Nathanial Arthur Gordon, who is 41, has been charged with one count of voyeurism and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 28.

Police say it's believed it was a sexually motivated offence, but there's no evidence any children were physically harmed at this time.

Calgary Police Say Suspect in Officer Shooting Had Organized Crime Ties

Calgary police say the man who shot at officers and struck one officer twice during a traffic stop yesterday had ties to organized crime. Police have not identified the suspect, who was later found dead in the Bow River from what they describe as a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Investigators have not provided details about the type of organized crime group he was allegedly connected to. The officer was shot twice and is expected to make a full recovery. The shooting happened shortly before noon near Spruce Cliff and Edworthy Park, west of downtown Calgary.
