BJP will form the government in Haryana for the third consecutive time. This is the first party to do so in the state. Out of the total 90 seats, the party has won 48 seats and won a clear majority. 46 seats were required for majority. This time, Bharatiya Janata Party has increased 8 seats compared to the previous assembly elections. At the same time, Congress fell behind in forming the government in Haryana for the third time in a row.
Under the leadership of former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, the Congress won 5 seats more than in 2019 but reduced to 37 seats. There were many reasons behind this hat-trick of BJP. To deal with the anger of the people, the party had canceled the tickets of 14 MLAs including four of its ministers. In these elections, Vinesh Phogat, the Congress woman wrestler, has won from Julana seat with more than 6 thousand votes. Meanwhile, the Aam Aadmi Party has lost badly in Haryana.
