After the senior leader and in-charge of Shiromani Akali Dal for Giddarbaha constituency in Punjab, Harmeet Singh Dimpy Dhillon, left the party, now the Badal family has officially taken charge of the constituency itself.

Shiromani Akali Dal Executive President S. Balwinder Singh Bhundar has today appointed Biba Harsimrat Kaur Badal as the election campaign in-charge of Halka Giddarbaha in view of the by-elections to be held in the state.

Similarly, the party has assigned the duties of senior leaders for the by-elections to be held in other constituencies. By-elections are to be held for the assembly seats of Dera Baba Nanak, Chabewal constituency of Hoshiapur, Giddarbaha and Barnala in Punjab.

Now it will be seen who the Shiromani Akali Dal makes a candidate from Giddarbaha Constituency, more talk is about Sukhbir Badal's entry into the fray.

Federal deficit reaches $25.5B in first 11 months of 2025–26 fiscal year
