Avani Lekhara clinches India's first gold medal at Tokyo Paralympics

Indian shooter Avani Lekhara on August 30 clinched gold medal in women's 10m Air Rifle standing SH1 in the ongoing Tokyo Paralympics.

China's Zhang Cuiping won silver and Ukraine's Iryna Shchetnik won bronze.

"For me, there can be no greater happiness than this. This is the result of her hard work. I hope she brings a gold medal in 50m shooting also," said Avani's grandfather.
