Harsimrat Kaur Badal has claimed that some backbenchers of the BJP in the party are trying to break the Akali Dal amid the ongoing rebellion in the Shiromani Akali Dal, a regional party of Punjab. Harsimrat Kaur Badal said that only 5 of our 117 leaders are against Sukhbir Badal.

He also targeted Bibi Jagir without naming her, Harsimrat Badal said that BJP had also contested the SGPC election for him.
