A terrorist attack was attempted in Pakistan's Adiala Jail last night. This is the same jail where former Prime Minister and PTI. Chief Imran Khan is imprisoned. According to Pakistani media, 3 terrorists tried to carry out the attack who belonged to Afghanistan.

However, the police and the Anti-Terrorism Department together foiled the plot. According to Rawalpindi Police, all three terrorists were arrested. Many weapons, grenades, IEDs were recovered from them. And the prison map has been recovered. Apart from Imran Khan, Pakistan's former foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi is also imprisoned in this jail.

Political prisoners of Pakistan are usually kept in Adiala Jail. Before Imran, former Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani, Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz, including many senior officials have stayed in this jail.

Pakistani media say that the Central Jail of Adiala is currently full, it has kept twice the capacity of prisoners.
