At least 14 people died due to drug overdose in Punjab this month

At least 14 people have died due to drug overdose in Punjab this month, with which the issue of drugs has become hot again in the politics of the state.

The number of overdose deaths is up to June 15 and nine deaths have occurred within 7 days. It is feared that these deaths were due to heroin overdose or adulterated drugs, two youths succumbed to drug addiction in just two days in Bhalur village of Moga. Among them was a young kabaddi player who won many medals from Punjab.

Among the deceased, 3 belong to Gurdaspur, 2 Abohar, 2 Moga, 1 Muktsar, 2 Ferozepur, 1 Faridkot, 1 Ludhiana and 2 Amritsar.
