A new excise policy was brought in Delhi in November 2021 under the leadership of Manish Sisodia. However, in August 2022, the Delhi government rejected this new liquor policy. Delhi Education Minister Atishi Singh targeted PM Modi and said that arrest of Arvind Kejriwal is a political conspiracy of BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that if Prime Minister Narendra Modi is afraid of any leader, it is Arvind Kejriwal.
