Punjab will soon have an American Embassy, it will open in Guru Nagar, Sri Amritsar. This was disclosed by India's ambassador to America. Taranjit Singh Sandhu has done it.

He is being considered as the possible candidate of BJP from Amritsar Lok Sabha seat. Dr. Sandhu recently Foreign Minister S. Had a meeting with Jaishankar, after which he said that the US is to open two new consulates in India and the Foreign Minister has assured me that an effort will be made to open one in the holy city of Guru Nagar.

The decision to open a new consulate was taken 7 years ago in 2016 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and then President Barack Obama.

Ottawa to extend 2% cap on alcohol excise tax increases through 2028

The federal government is set to extend its temporary cap on annual alcohol excise tax increases for another two years, according to a senior government official who spoke to The Canadian Press on background ahead of a formal announcement.
