The Shiromani Akali Dal, which is considering a candidate from Khadur Sahib Lok Sabha constituency of Punjab, has changed its political strategy and started using Taksali and Panthak leaves. It is reported that if the successor Punjab Jathedari chief Amritpal Singh contests the election from here, then the Akali Dal may support him.

Aam Aadmi Party has made Cabinet Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar a candidate from Khadur Sahib Lok Sabha seat. BJP has fielded Manjit Singh Mianwind, while Congress and Akali Dal are yet to announce a candidate from here.
