Searches for "move to Canada" were particularly high in states like Vermont, Maine, New Hampshire, Oregon, and Minnesota, where Kamala Harris had won.

According to Google, the "Move to Canada" trend started as soon as the election results were announced on Tuesday night. It continued to rise throughout the night and into Wednesday morning, reaching its peak around 6 a.m. when news of the election results spread.

Searches for "move to Canada" were particularly high in states like Vermont, Maine, New Hampshire, Oregon, and Minnesota, where Kamala Harris had won. There were also searches for "best places to live in Canada" and "how to get a visa for Canada."

Additionally, according to Google, U.S. users also searched for ways to move to Australia, Switzerland, Denmark, and Norway.
