After the officer's daughter-in-law Parampal Kaur joined the BJP, Akali Dal President Sukhbir Badal has removed Sikander Singh Maluka from the post of in-charge of Halka Maur and appointed Janmeja Singh Sekhon as the in-charge of Halka Maur.

Meanwhile, the Akali Dal is all set to release its first list of Lok Sabha candidates. It is believed that the first list may be released tomorrow. At first, there was talk of announcing candidates for 8 seats, but now it is news that the names of 5 candidates have been finalized.
