Two people have been hurt in a blast that has destroyed a home in northwest Surrey.

Fire officials say the single-family home was engulfed when they arrived just before nine p.m. last night.

Of the four people in the house, assistant fire chief Shelley Morris says two escaped unhurt, but the other two had to be treated in hospital.

A cause of the explosion is under investigation.
