A Delhi court has convicted former Congress MP Sajjan Kumar for the murder of two people in the Saraswati Vihar area of Delhi during the 1984 Sikh Genocide. Special Judge Kaveri Baweja has scheduled February 18 for arguments on sentencing.
The 79-year-old Sajjan Kumar is already serving a life sentence in another case related to the Sikh Genocide. He has been lodged in Tihar Jail since December 31, 2018, after surrendering upon being sentenced to life imprisonment.
