16 new COVID-19 cases and 2 more deaths reported in B.C.

British Columbia is announcing two new deaths and 16 new cases of COVID-19 over the Victoria Day long weekend.

There have been 2,444 total cases of COVID-19 in the province with 1,966 fully recovering.

These cases represent figures for two days, from Saturday to Monday.

Provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry says the latest deaths both occurred in long-term care homes.
