Quebec Premier Francois Legault says Quebec has recorded 29 additional COVID-19 deaths, bringing the total to 150. There are now 9,340 confirmed cases of the disease in the province, an increase of 760 from Monday. For the second straight day, the premier pointed to the low number of new cases requiring hospitalization as an encouraging sign. The province is reporting 583 COVID-19 patients in hospital, an increase of 50, and 164 requiring intensive care, the same number as the previous day.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says the federal government is working with a number of Canadian companies to produce up to 30,000 ventilators.Trudeau says he hopes that many ventilators won't be needed to treat COVID-19 patients in Canada, but health officials want to be as prepared as possible.In addition to working with Canadian companies to manufacture critical equipment, Trudeau says Canada is also working with suppliers around the world.He says the country is expecting a shipment of 500,000 surgical grade masks from Minnesota based 3M by tomorrow.

Ontario is reporting 379 new cases of COVID-19 today, including 21 more deaths.That brings the totals in the province to 4,726 confirmed cases, including 153 deaths and 1,802 cases that have been resolved.The new cases represent an 8.7 percent increase over Monday, marking the second day in a row that the growth rate has been under 10 percent.There are now 614 people in Ontario hospitalized with COVID-19, with 233 of them in intensive care and 187 of those people on ventilators. India recorded the highest number of positive cases in a day, as the total cases jump to 4,281
India recorded the highest number of 704 positive cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours, said the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Monday. With these new cases, the total number of COVID-19 positive cases in India have now climbed to 4,281. Total deaths stand at 111 including 28 new deaths. 3M says it will continue to send N95 respirators to Canada after reaching an agreement with the White House to import millions of the increasingly scarce medical face masks from China for use in the United States.

A man in his 40's is the latest person in BC to die as a result of complications from COVID-19. Provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry says the man died in the community. Henry says BC has recorded 63 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 48 hours, bringing the total to one-thousand-266 including 39 deaths. She says 72 people remain in intensive care in hospital but 783 people have recovered.

Alberta: 98 new COVID-19 cases take the provincial total to 1,348
Alberta is reporting 98 news cases of COVID-19. That brings the total number of cases in the province to 1,348. There has also been an additional death, bringing the number of those who have died due to the novel coronavirus in Alberta to 24. So far, a total of 361 people have recovered from the virus in the province. Premier Jason Kenney says he is planning to address the province in a televised address tomorrow night.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is in the intensive care unit of St Thomas' hospital in London after his COVID-19 case worsened. Johnson's office says he is conscious and does not require ventilation at the moment. Johnson was admitted to St. Thomas' Hospital late yesterday. He was diagnosed with COVID-19 10 days ago.
