Punjabi actor and cricket coach Yograj Singh, known for his outspoken views, shared heartfelt reflections on family and relationships during an exclusive interview with Connect Cine.

Speaking about his ex-wife Shabnam Singh, Yograj emphasized respect. “I have never spoken a bad word about her. We shared a beautiful relationship till it lasted. I was not deserving enough, which is why we are no longer together. However, she is the mother of my two most precious gifts, Yuvraj and Zorawar Singh.”

He also addressed his bond with Bollywood actor Hazel Keech, wife of his son Yuvraj. Yograj said Hazel is more than a daughter-in-law: “When we first met, she called me Sir. I told her if she expects a lifelong strong bond, she has to get used to calling me papa or daddy.”

Yograj made it clear that he loves all his children equally and rejects claims that he devotes attention only to Yuvraj. “I will do anything for each one of them,” he said.

The interview, available on Connect Cine’s YouTube channel, highlights Yograj’s candid style and his willingness to discuss personal relationships openly - something rare among public figures in Punjabi cinema.

For many in the Punjabi diaspora, where Yograj remains a celebrated cricketer and actor, his reflections offer both inspiration and insight into family values and resilience.
