Sona to shut down

Reports indicate that actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas has decided to end her affiliation with Sona, a restaurant based in New York, where she served as a co-founder. Sona is set to close its doors just 10 months after its establishment.

The official Instagram page of Sona shared this development on Wednesday, announcing that the restaurant's final service will be a brunch scheduled for Sunday.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas, known for her roles in both Bollywood and Hollywood, teamed up with her friend and former business partner Maneesh K Goyal to launch Sona in 2021 amidst Covid-19 restrictions.

The news created a buzz on Instagram, with Sona's post expressing gratitude to its dedicated team for their daily efforts in providing delicious food and warm hospitality.

The restaurant extended an invitation for patrons to join them for a final meal or drink, emphasizing that their doors remain open until the last service on June 30.
