Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan’s beloved 1989 television series "Fauji" is making a comeback with an updated version titled "Fauji 2." The new iteration is being helmed by filmmaker Sandeep Singh in partnership with Doordarshan, promising a contemporary take on the original storyline.
In this revamped series, businessman and actor Vikas Jain, husband of Ankita Lokhande, will make his mark on mainstream television by taking on the role of Colonel Sanjay Singh. Gauahar Khan will portray Lieutenant Colonel Simarjeet Kaur, a skilled cadet trainer with expertise in weaponry. The series will delve into the challenges, triumphs, and camaraderie experienced by army personnel, while also introducing a fresh lineup of actors in significant roles.
In addition to Vikas Jain, "Fauji 2" will introduce twelve new faces to the entertainment landscape, including Aashish Bhardwaj, Utkarsh Kohli, Charkhi Dadri, Rudra Soni, Aman Singh Deep, Ayaan Manchanda, Niel Satpuda, Suvansh Dhar, Priyanshu Rajguru, Udit Kapur, Maansi, and Sushmita Bhandari, who will all play pivotal characters.
The show is set to air on Doordarshan and will be available in multiple languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Gujarati, Punjabi, and Bengali, catering to a diverse audience.
"Fauji 2" is produced by Sandeep Singh, with co-production by Vikas Jain and Zafar Mehdi.
