The upcoming Indian mythological movie Ramayana is one of the highly anticipated movies of the current time. The film is being directed by renowned filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari, known for movies like Dangal, Chhichhore and more.

While it is final that Animal fame Ranbir Kapoor will be playing the role of lord Rama in the film, the quest for locking the female lead was continuously on.

However, earlier there were speculations that South actress Sai Pallavi would be seen playing Goddess Sita opposite Ranbir Kapoor.

But now, it is being said that Sai Pallavi is not a part of this mega project. Now, the name of Janhvi Kapoor is garnering all the limelight and attention for being finalised for the role.

For now, nothing has been officially confirmed by the Ramayana team. But if reports are to be believed, Nitesh has worked Janhvi in Bawaal, and the duo will be next working together in Ramayana.

Moreover, it is reported that KGF star Yash will be playing the role of Ravana, and Vijay Sethupati will be seen as Vibhishana. Gadar fame Sunny Deol is also expected to be a part of the project in the role of lord Hanuman.

For now, the release date of this awaited project is not announced, but the project is expected to hit the silver screens in 2025.
