Nitesh Tiwari Finalises Actress for Mandodari Opposite Yash as Ravana in Ramayana

Every single fan of Indian Cinema is currently eager-eyed on every dropping detail about the highly anticipated Ramayana. The project, helmed by Nitesh Tiwari often makes headlines for some new reasons. And if the latest reports are to be believed, filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari has stepped ahead as now he has also finalised the actress to play Mandodari’s role in the mythological saga.

According to Filmibeat, it is believed that Bade Achhe Lagte Hain and Dangal fame Sakshi Tanwar has been locked to play the role of Mandodari; Ravana’s wife and will be seen sharing screen space with Yash as Ravana. A source close to the production revealed, “Nitesh Tiwari already has a perfect cast in place for Ramayana, and Sakshi Tanwar is finalized as Raavan's wife Mandodari. She has been attending script reading sessions with the team and is looking forward to sharing screen space with KGF star Yash.”

The source also added, “Not just her, even Lara Dutta and Rakul Preet Singh were a part of reading sessions.” Reportedly, Lara Dutta and Rakul Preet Singh are expected to play the roles of Kaikeyi and Shurpanakha, respectively.

Moreover, Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana is said to star Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi as Lord Rama and Sita, Sunny Deol as lord Hanumana and KGF star Yash as Ravana. The official announcement of the project has not been made yet, but the film has already been making rounds on the internet continuously.
