In what comes as a big development in drug syndicate that supplied narcotics to Bollywood, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) summoned top actors Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, and Rakul Preet Singh to record their statements.
While Padukone has been summoned on September 25, Shraddha Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan have been summoned on September 26 by NCB.
NCB officials also visited Shraddha Kapoor’s house on Wednesday evening to serve the summons.
Earlier on the same day, the agency recorded the statement of film producer Madhu Mantena, who co-produced 2016 film Udta Punjab in connection with the case.
As per reports, Deepika Padukone’s manager Prakash, was also summoned to join the investigation, but she did not appear before the NCB due to ill-health.
So far, the NCB has made 19 arrests, including Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakraborty, in connection to the FIR registered to bust the drug network in Bollywood.
