Title: Mirzapur Season 3

Available on: Amazon Prime

Jasmine Singh

While "out of sight, out of mind" holds true for many, it certainly doesn't apply to Mirzapur. After a four-year hiatus, Season 3 has re-entered with the same curiosity and wide-eyed anticipation.

So, was the wait worth it? The story picks up right where Season 2 left off, skillfully directed by Gurmmeet Singh and Anand Iyer to ensure continuity without distortion. In the initial episodes, your mind and eyes are everywhere, akin to a spectator at a tennis match trying to catch every ball.

While the storyline falters a bit, the chaos created by numerous characters keeps you engaged. Just as you begin to grasp their motives, another character throws a curveball with their own agenda. Mirzapur thrives on bloodshed and profanity, blending violence with a certain elegance that's uniquely its own. It was refreshing to see Guddu Bhaiya and Golu taking charge, with Pankaj Tripathi's intermittent presence promising a dominant role in Season 4.

Managing such a vast ensemble and giving each character a compelling motive was no small feat for the directors, but they pulled it off admirably. Some scenes may feel prolonged, yet they are swiftly overshadowed by sudden acts of violence. What's intriguing about this season is how even minor characters get a chance to showcase their acting prowess, leaving a lasting impact.

Admittedly, there's a sense of predictability as we head towards a known conclusion, which slightly dampens the excitement. However, who wouldn't eagerly anticipate another season of Mirzapur?
