Mahesh Bhatt questioned in Sushant Singh Rajput’s case

Renowned producer-director Mahesh Bhatt has been questioned by the Maharashtra police in connection with the investigation into the reasons behind the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Mahesh Bhatt was called for an inquiry to the Santacruz police station, Mumbai wherein he recorded his statement before Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abhishek Trimukhe.

Besides Mahesh Bhatt, Dharma Productions CEO and actress Kanagan Ranaut have also been asked to join the investigation. Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh revealed that Karan Johar’s manager will be called for questioning too. "If need be, Karan Johar can also be called for questioning in Sushant Singh Rajput’s case," said Deshmukh. Actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his home in Mumbai on June 14. The police noted that it was death by suicide. The suicide has created a furor in Bollywood, with big names and banners like Yash Raj Films (YRF), film critic Rajeev Masand, casting director Shanoo Sharma being questioned in the case too.
