The trailer launch of Akaal marked a perfect blend of Bollywood and Pollywood, with a star-studded lineup of Karan Johar, Gippy Grewal, Nimrat Khaira, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Apoorva Mehta, and many more. This event was especially significant as Akaal is Dharma Productions' first foray into the Punjabi film industry.
While the spotlight was on Akaal, the media’s attention shifted to Karan Johar’s recent film Nadaaniyan, which had faced its share of criticism from both audiences and critics. Karan Johar stated, “Many critics are here today, and my relationship with them remains unchanged, no matter what they write. Their opinions are theirs to express, and while you may not have liked the film, that’s just a part of their role as critics.”
AKAAL is set to release in cinemas on April 10, 2025.
