Popular singer and actor Guru Randhawa is making headlines with the release of his debut Punjabi film, Shahkot. In a candid interview with Connect FM Canada, he emphasized the importance of staying grounded despite his rising fame. However, the most intriguing moment came when he addressed a question about his phone number.
When host Jasmine Singh asked if he had lost touch with his old friends from Gurdaspur, Guru surprised everyone by pulling out his phone and calling her on the spot, proudly noting that he still has her number saved. He revealed that he has kept the same phone number since his college days. “Why should I change my number when I haven’t done anything wrong? The day I think I’ve committed a crime, I’ll change it,” he declared.
This revelation is particularly striking given that many Punjabi and Bollywood artists frequently change their phone numbers. In a recent conversation with Connect FM Canada, singer-actor Gippy Grewal shared that he and Diljit Dosanjh have drifted apart because they both keep changing their numbers. Guru's commitment to staying connected with his roots certainly sets him apart in the industry.
