The news regarding reopening of cinema halls in Australia has come as good news for Punjabi film industry. Actress Sargun Mehta took to her social media handle to announce that her film Angrej opposite Amrinder Gill is all set to show again in theatres in Australia from July 16. She posted a poster of the film with the caption- ‘In theatres again in Australia. Stay safe'. With the National Association Of Cinema Operators (NACO) saying that it acknowledges that studios will not release new titles until the majority of cinemas are opened around the world", returning to older films apparently successful ones seem to be a safe bet for the industry as of now.

Angrej directed by Simerjit Singh and written by Amberdeep Singh had Aditi Sharma, Ammy Virk and Binnu Dhillon in important roles!
