If you thought the last good, award-winning Punjabi film based on sports was Ammy Virk starrer Harjeeta, well, then get ready to wrestle it out.

Director Manav Shah is all set to woo the audiences with his upcoming venture titled Khidari. Based on wrestling, the film is all set to hit the theatres on February 9, 2024.

The film stars Gurnam Bhullar, Kartar Cheema and Surbhi Jyoti.

The cast and crew of the film released their first look poster where one can see Gurnam Bhullar roughing it out in the ring.

Although Bollywood has explored with the sports genre one time too many, Punjabi film industry is still not extremely comfortable with it. Harjeeta, Khido Kundi, Tunka Tunka, are some of the popular sports genre Punjabi films that hit a chord with the audiences, however, now it seems that Khidari will capture the attention of the fans who have been wanting to see Gurnam Bhullar to break his chocolate boy image.

The film is written by Dheeraj Kedarnath Ratan and it is touted to be one of the best adrenaline pumping films made so far.
