Veteran actor Dalip Tahil's son Dhruv has been arrested by Mumbai Police’s Anti Narcotic Cell for repeated purchase of drugs. The Anti Narcotic Cell also found bank transactions and Whatsapp chats between Dhruv and a drug peddler. Dhruv had allegedly purchased the said drugs from peddler Muzaamil Abdul Shaikh. The Whatsapp chats of Shaikh revealed that Dhruv had procured drugs several times between 2019 and 2021. Police have registered an FIR against stand-up comedian and actor Sunil Pal for allegedly making defamatory remarks against doctors engaged in COVID-19 management and treatment of patients. The FIR against Pal was lodged by the Andheri police in Mumbai on Tuesday on the basis of a complaint filed by Dr Sushmita Bhatnagar, head of the Association of Medical Consultants. According to the complaint, Sunil Pal made the alleged derogatory comments against doctors during a show on an entertainment channel.
