Hollywood star Jennifer Aniston has appealed to her fans on Instagram to lend a helping hand to India in its fight against the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic.The actor shared three posts on her Instagram Stories bringing the India's worrying scenario amid the health crisis to the attention of her 36.5 million followers.Aniston’s first story read, “A severe second wave of coronavirus infections has swept over India, setting global records for new infections each day over the past five days.”

Police have registered an FIR against stand-up comedian and actor Sunil Pal for allegedly making defamatory remarks against doctors engaged in COVID-19 management and treatment of patients. The FIR against Pal was lodged by the Andheri police in Mumbai on Tuesday on the basis of a complaint filed by Dr Sushmita Bhatnagar, head of the Association of Medical Consultants. According to the complaint, Sunil Pal made the alleged derogatory comments against doctors during a show on an entertainment channel.
