The Vancouver Whitecaps team's explosive play in MLS competitions continued this past weekend, where the Vancouver Whitecaps team played its third match of the season at its home ground, BC Place Stadium.

Whitecaps won the match 6-0 against Minnesota United.

The Whitecaps started dominating from the beginning of the match.

The home team, playing in a constant attacking mode, took a 4-0 lead in the first half.

In the 8th minute of the first half for the Whitecaps, Berhalter converted a penalty into a goal.

Then Brian White scored a goal in the 13th minute.

After this, Laborda scored in the 22nd minute and Sabbi scored in the 43rd minute.

In the 54th minute (second half of the match), Brian White converted a penalty into a goal and with this, completed his 100th goal contribution in MLS competitions.

White became the first player in the club's MLS era to record 100 goal contributions which consists of 84 goals and 16 assists.

Vancouver Whitecaps did not stop here and in the 73rd minute, Sabaly scored a goal for the team and brought the score to 6-0.

The Whitecaps team has now won the first four matches of MLS, where in the first match on February 21, the team won 1-0 against Real Salt Lake.

After this, on February 28, the Whitecaps defeated Toronto 3-0 in the All Canadian match.

Then on March 7, the Whitecaps won 4-1 in the away game against Portland.

For the Whitecaps, this is the strongest start in the first four matches in their club history of MLS competitions.

Whitecaps had suffered a loss at the hands of Seattle 2 days before Sunday's game. Head coach Jesper Sorensen, was asked after the match, if this was the kind of bounce back performance he was looking for from Thursday. Sorensen said, “Yes, of course. It was more than we even hoped for. But we would like to come back strong and bounce back from what we thought was a disappointment (against Seattle). I think that we really came out strong. Even though it was only two-and-a-half days since we played last game, I think the players looked fresh and looked really eager to come out here and push the pace, and play with great quality I have to say. It was a great game obviously, and we’re very happy.”

Alberta court blocks separation petition over lack of First Nations consultation

An Alberta court has dismissed a petition related to separating the province from Canada, ruling the provincial government failed to meet its duty to consult First Nations before advancing the process. The court said any move toward separation from Canada could directly affect rights protected under Treaties 7 and 8, making consultation with affected Indigenous communities a constitutional requirement. Premier Danielle Smith criticized the ruling, calling it “wrong” and “anti-democratic.” Smith said the provincial government plans to appeal the decision immediately, arguing consultatio

Honda pauses proposed $15B EV project in Ontario indefinitely

Honda Motor Co. has indefinitely suspended plans for its proposed $15-billion electric vehicle project in Alliston, Ontario, a move that raises new questions about the pace of Canada’s EV manufacturing expansion. The company announced the decision Thursday, citing changing market conditions and slower consumer demand for electric vehicles. The proposed project was expected to create about 1,000 jobs in the region. Honda said the decision will not affect workers or production at its existing manufacturing facility in Alliston, where current operations will continue as planned. The project had
