Congress candidate Bharat Bhushan Ashu has been a two-time MLA from Ludhiana West constituency and is now in the fray again.

Voting for the by-election in Punjab's Ludhiana West constituency will be held tomorrow, i.e. on June 19. This seat fell vacant after Aam Aadmi Party MLA Gurpreet Gogi died of gunshot wounds at his house on January 14.

Rajya Sabha member Sanjeev Arora is in the fray from Aam Aadmi Party, there are speculations that Kejriwal can become the candidate from the Rajya Sabha seat that will fall vacant if Arora wins the election. At present, Kejriwal is neither an MP nor an MLA, he lost his seat in the Delhi elections.

Congress candidate Bharat Bhushan Ashu has been a two-time MLA from Ludhiana West constituency and is now in the fray again. It is noteworthy that during the Lok Sabha elections, BJP got the maximum 45 thousand votes from the West constituency, Congress 30 thousand and 'AAP' candidate 22 thousand.
