Two Langford residents were arrested after police seized more than 350 grams of suspected cocaine, cash and silver during a drug trafficking investigation in the West Shore area.
According to a release from the Westshore RCMP Drugs and Organized Crime Unit, the investigation began in February 2026 into a suspected drug trafficker operating in the region.
On February 20, officers arrested a 44-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman and executed two search warrants at a Langford residence. Police said investigators located evidence consistent with a drug trafficking operation, including packaging materials and processing equipment. Approximately 250 individual bags of suspected cocaine were pre-packaged for street-level sales, police stated.
Officers also seized thousands of dollars in cash and about 12 ounces of silver, which police allege are proceeds of crime. No charges had been announced as of publication time, and the investigation remains ongoing.
“Drug trafficking has a direct and harmful impact on our communities,” said Cpl. Kevin Pollock of the Westshore RCMP Drugs and Organized Crime Unit in the release. “We are targeting those responsible for distributing illicit drugs in the West Shore and continue to disrupt the drug trade.”
The West Shore includes communities such as Langford and Colwood, west of Victoria. Police have not released further details about potential court appearances.
Why this matters: Police say cocaine distribution at the street level can contribute to addiction, property crime and community safety concerns in the West Shore region.
