After the announcement of the results, Putin said - now Russia will become even more powerful and effective. He also commented on NATO and said - if the US-led military organization and Russia come face to face, the world will be one step away from World War III and I don't think anyone would want that.

On the other hand, Western countries condemned the Russian elections saying that these elections were neither free nor fair.

At the same time, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Putin and said that the relations between the two countries will be even stronger.
