Following the shooting at Reflections Banquet Hall in Surrey, business owner Satish Kumar spoke to Connect FM today in an exclusive interview on the morning show and raised questions on the credibility on the steps being taken by the police agencies in dealing with extortion issues in the area.

He said that a forum is being organized next Sunday (June 15) from 2 pm to 4 pm. Satish Kumar said that a forum on ransoms will be held at Reflections Banquet Hall at 2 pm and he appealed to the community to join the forum and discuss the matter.

He said that Surrey Mayor Brenda Locke is going to join this forum and invitations are also being sent to other community leaders and officials. Satish Kumar also raised questions on the performance of the police and appealed to the governments to take strict action.

He said he had received a $2 million ransom call. The shooting incident occurred last Friday night. According to the Surrey Police Service, no one was injured in the incident and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
