President Donald Trump says at the start of his Middle East trip he believes he and Saudi Arabia's de facto ruler ``like each other a lot.''

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman warmly greeted Trump after he landed Tuesday in Riyadh to start his four-day trip. Prince Mohammed has already committed to some $600 billion in new Saudi investment in the U.S., but Trump teases $1 trillion would be even better.

The two leaders are expected to hold talks on U.S. efforts to dismantle Iran's nuclear program, end the war in Gaza and more. Trump also is slated to take part in a U.S.-Saudi investment conference.
