First-time BJP MLA from Delhi's Shalimar Bagh seat Rekha Gupta has taken oath as Chief Minister. The oath-taking ceremony took place at Delhi's Ramlila Maidan. The entire NDA leadership, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, was present on this occasion.

Along with Rekha Gupta, six other MLAs took oath as ministers in the Delhi government. These include Manjinder Singh Sirsa and Ravinder Indraj Singh.

BJP MLA from Rajouri Garden Manjinder Singh Sirsa took oath in Punjabi. In this way, the BJP has tried to give a place to representatives of different communities in the Delhi cabinet.
