AIG Gurmeet Singh Chauhan of Punjab Police's Anti-Gangster Task Force said that the Nabha jail break incident took place in November 2016.

Ramanjit Singh Romi, the mastermind of Punjab's Nabha jail break, has been arrested from Hong Kong and brought to India with the help of Punjab Police CBI and Interpol.

AIG Gurmeet Singh Chauhan of Punjab Police's Anti-Gangster Task Force said that the Nabha jail break incident took place in November 2016. During that time, 6 prisoners escaped from custody. Among them, two were members of Khalistan Liberation Front and two were gangsters.

He said that Ramanjit 'Romi' was one of the main conspirators among those who carried out the jail break. He had hatched the entire conspiracy from Hong Kong. In this incident, the gangsters infiltrated the police uniform and escaped 6 prisoners. Among them, Vicky Gounder was killed by the police in an encounter, while others were arrested.
