The Punjab government has extended an open invitation to all the people of the state for an open debate between Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and all other political parties to be held in Ludhiana on November 1.

CM Mann has named this debate 'Main Punjab Bolda Haan'.

For security reasons, the police have also tightened restrictions on programs held in the university hall.

Dr. Manmohan Singh Auditorium of Punjab Agriculture University has been booked by Punjab Government for this debate.

The seating capacity of this auditorium is around 1000 but due to CM Mann's open invitation to 3 crore people of Punjab, the concern of police and administration has increased.

Strict security arrangements have been made in Ludhiana city in view of the participation of the Chief Minister and senior opposition leaders in the debate.

Apart from Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, no other Aam Aadmi Party MLA will participate in this debate.

It is also being asked that no banner or slogan should be placed on the stage.

On the other hand, Sunil Jakhar said that this debate is not going to be of any use.

The debate, which will be held in a closed auditorium, will remain open to cameras.

Jakhar further said that if you want to have such a debate, then lock me and Bhagwant Maan in a room, whoever wins will open the door and come out safely.

Jakhar said that if you want to debate then do it openly.
