Punjab Congress state president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring has announced that the Congress party in Punjab will field at least 60-70 new faces for the 2027 assembly elections. Reports indicate that Warring made these remarks during a state executive meeting of the Punjab Youth Congress.

He emphasized that only two years remain before the next elections, urging party members to prove their worth by addressing the concerns of the people and standing firmly for their rights.

It is noteworthy that Warring’s statement about introducing a significant number of new candidates could potentially create a stir within the state Congress. However, the final decision on candidate selection will be made with the approval of the Congress national leadership.
