Calgary police are searching for two suspects following an incident in which three vehicles were vandalized last week in northeast Calgary. Investigators believe the incident may be connected to ongoing extortion-related activity targeting members of the city's South Asian community.
According to the Calgary Police Service, the vandalism occurred at approximately 5:15 a.m. on June 12 in the 300 block of Skyview Parkway N.E. Officers responded to reports that three vehicles had been damaged. The investigation remains ongoing.
Police said the incident took place at the same location where an extortion-related shooting was reported on March 4. Investigators are examining whether the two events are connected.
Authorities have released images of two suspects and are also seeking information about a grey Ford Expedition believed to be connected to the investigation. The first suspect was described as wearing a black jacket, black pants and white boots. The second suspect was wearing a coral-coloured hoodie, a black jacket, blue jeans and black boots with a green logo.
Police are asking anyone with information, surveillance footage, or details about the suspects or vehicle to contact investigators. No arrests have been announced.
