The New Westminster Police are appealing for witnesses, and dash-cam footage after a man was found unconscious and suffering serious injuries near Begbie and Carnarvon Street. The man was sent to a local area hospital and was being treated for life-altering injuries.

The incident happened on December 23, 2022 at approximately 11:15 pm. The New Westminster Police Department Major Crime Unit has learned the victim was assaulted by someone who was with two other people at the time of the assault. After the assault, the group left the area in a vehicle, and investigators are hoping by sharing video of this vehicle, a suspect will be identified.

"We’re looking for information on this vehicle," stated Sergeant Justine Thom. "A blue, four door, Pontiac Sunfire with black rims."
