On Sunday, August 10, 2025, shortly before 12:30 a.m., Prince George RCMP were advised of a shooting that occurred on the 2000-block of Quince Street in Prince George, BC

Frontline police officers responded to a report of a 22-year-old male, who was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

“The investigation is still in its early stages, but initial findings indicated this was likely a targeted event and there is no increased risk to the general public. If anyone in the neighbourhood witnessed the event or saw something suspicious we ask that they please contact the Prince George RCMP to speak with police,” says Cst. Jenna Moore, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.

The investigation is currently with our Investigative Support Team, which is actively working to identify the outstanding suspect.

Investigators are looking for any dash camera, cell phone or video surveillance footage from the area between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m., or to speak with anyone who witnessed the incident and has not already spoken with police. Vancouver Police Officer Kal Dosanjh has been suspended with immediate effect after being charged with multiple counts of fraud and theft.
