Poilievre Proposes Major Overhaul of Immigration Policy Under Conservative Government

Canada's opposition leader, Pierre Poilievre, has suggested significant changes to the country's immigration policy if the Conservatives form the next government. Poilievre proposed a system that would prioritize inviting individuals who are needed and can be successfully integrated into Canada.

He argued that Canada already has the best immigration system, which he intends to restore.

Poilievre criticized the Liberal government for mishandling immigration, claiming it led to overpopulation, housing shortages, job scarcity, and strain on the healthcare system.

He also accused Mark Carney and other Liberals of fostering corporate greed that took jobs away from Canadian workers, vowing to overhaul the system.
