Conservative Party Leader Pierre Poilievre has strongly denied a media report alleging that Indian government agents mobilized support for him among the South Asian community to help him win the party leadership in 2022.

Poilievre, responding to questions from reporters during the election campaign in Ontario, called the allegations baseless, emphasizing that he won the party leadership race fairly and transparently.

Additionally, Poilievre announced that if a Conservative government is formed, the federal dental care program and Pharmacare coverage would continue as they are and would not be discontinued.

About 12 people were displaced after a fire damaged two adjoining homes on the 1900 block of Langan Avenue in Port Coquitlam on Sunday morning. A woman has died after being swept into Lake Ontario at Jack Darling Memorial Park in Mississauga on Saturday night. According to Peel Regional Police, the incident happened at about 10:30 p.m. The woman was near the lake when she entered the water.
