PM Modi returned to New Delhi this morning after canceling his Saudi Arabia trip late at night after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.

According to the news, as a stern signal to Pakistan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's plane did not use Pakistan's airspace while returning from Saudi Arabia to New Delhi and instead landed in India from Gujarat over the Arabian Sea, while PM Modi's plane passed through Pakistan's airspace while going to Saudi Arabia.

It is noteworthy that 27 people were killed and more than 20 people were injured in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir yesterday. This attack took place when a large number of tourists were present in the Basran Valley.

This is the biggest attack in Jammu and Kashmir since the Pulwama attack on February 14, 2019, for which the Resistance Front, a local branch of the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba, has claimed responsibility.

Transport committee meets to study BC Ferries' $1B loan for Chinese ships

The House of Commons transport committee is meeting today to look into the $1 billion loan BC Ferries received from the Canada Infrastructure Bank to finance the purchase of four new electric-diesel ships from a Chinese shipbuilder. The committee agreed to launch a study after BC Ferries announced in June that it had hired China Merchants Industry Weihai Shipyards to build the new ships after a five-year procurement process that did not include a Canadian bid.
