PM Modi announces fast-track courts for paper leak cases as protests continue

He said the government is committed to taking strict action against those responsible for examination paper leaks.

Despite the announcement, protests over the issue continued. Demonstrators and opposition parties described the measure as insufficient and reiterated their demand for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Late Wednesday, clashes broke out between protesters and police in New Delhi. According to authorities, police used tear gas and carried out a baton charge to disperse the crowd. No immediate information was released on injuries or arrests related to the incident.

Opposition parties have also raised the paper leak issue during the ongoing Monsoon Session of Parliament, intensifying pressure on the government. Protest organizers say their demonstrations will continue until Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigns.
