Leader of the Opposition in the Punjab Assembly, Partap Singh Bajwa, appeared at the Cyber Crime Police Station in Mohali today and joined the ongoing investigation. The police questioned the senior Congress leader regarding a statement he made in an interview about bombs.
The case against Bajwa was registered based on a complaint by a woman constable, Taranpreet Kaur. Police officials deemed Bajwa’s remarks sensitive and potentially threatening to national security, which prompted the summons for questioning.
The issue has sparked political controversy in the state, with tensions rising following the registration of the case. In response, the Congress party staged a protest outside the Mohali police station earlier today. Bajwa has also approached the High Court, challenging the case filed against him.
