Operation Ajay: First flight to evacuate 230 Indians from Israel

The war continued on Thursday for the sixth day since the attack by Hamas on Israel.

Meanwhile, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs said that 230 Indians from Israel will return to the country tomorrow.

External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said that anyone who wants to come back to India can come.

The first flight will depart under Operation Ajay.

The first charter flight will arrive in Tel Aviv today.

It will return to India tomorrow morning.

"We are in touch with India's representative office and embassy in Tel Aviv," Bagchi said.

He said that there are about 18 thousand Indians in Israel.

Bagchi said that about 12 Indian citizens are in the West Bank, apart from this there are three-four citizens in Gaza, none of them have requested to be removed from here and requests have been received from Israel.

He said that an Indian is injured, we are in touch with him, he is in hospital and his condition is said to be stable.

VPD investigates pedestrian fatality

Vancouver Police are investigating a pedestrian fatality that occurred last night, and are asking anyone with information to call police. The pedestrian, a 38-year-old man, was struck by a white Tesla at the intersection of Terminal Avenue and Western Street September 25 just before 8:30 p.m. Despite life-saving attempts from first responders, the pedestrian died at the scene.
